Participation in the course is associated with a fee payed by the students of DKK 420. Payment will be charged a few weeks before the first part of the field trip.
The course is included as compulsory in the constituent module in biology communication. The course is optional for other biology and science students.

Participant restriction

The course has participant restriction. The following criteria are emphasized in the order below when allocating places:

  1. Students who have earned the most ECTS in the master's program have first priority
  2. Students who are admitted conditionally to the master's program then have priority
  3. Students who take master's courses at the same time as their bachelor's program (dispensation for 30 ECTS master's courses) then have priority
  4. Bachelor students

f there are equal points among students in groups 1 to 4, lots are drawn.
The academic environments at the Faculty of Science are responsible for prioritization, and a waiting list is created. Students who are not admitted to the course, but are placed on a waiting list, are notified by the faculty. The waiting list is not carried over to the following year.It is important to attend the first day of the course or inform the teacher, as there is a waiting list for the course.

Teaching Method

The teaching focuses on the individual's development within oral communication. A number of approaches and theories will be presented, but this is not a fixed syllabus, which you will then be tested in, for the exam.
The teaching alternates between theory, presented by the teacher - practice exercises - and finally prepared presentations from the students, to which they then receive a response. Learning takes place both when the student gives his or her own presentations and when they respond to each other's presentations.

It is important to point out that the students come out with vastly different results that enable them, each and every one, to communicate in the best possible way within oral communication.

Activities in the study phase:
  • Preparation of presentations.
  • Constructive critique of own and others' presentations.
  • Oral communication in different setting and situations, both live and online.
