SPFY801: Master's thesis in Physics

Submission is conducted electronically via https://blanket.sam.sdu.dk/form/97/submit. Submission must take place no later than 1 week after the semester has started, but is recommended, that it is handed in as soon as possible. The contract must be approved by supervisor, teaching committee and the head of studies.
Be aware that it is not possible to fill in the form after deadline of submission, since the application system will shut down. The system will reopen in connection with the next course registration, then you can fill out the form for the next semester.
The thesis report must include a summary of the report's content, cf. The Examination Order section 26. part 2. If the report is written in Danish, the summary is prepared in English. If the thesis is written in English, the summary is prepared in Danish

Expected learning outcome
- Read and understand fundamental theories and experimental methods, as described in the international research literature, within the area of physics which is relevant for the problem.
- Postulate hypotheses and test their validity by designing and performing experiments and apply theoretical models.
- Conduct theoretical and/or experimental investigations that contribute to solving the problem.
- Make a critical evaluation of own results in relation to existing knowledge and models.
