On completion of the course students are able to:
- Discuss, analyze and critically assess central theories, methods and tools from the fields of innovation and entrepreneurship
- Identify relevant challenges and innovatively work on them in an entrepreneurial project
- Recognize the potential an idea has for creating value and identify appropriate ways of making the most out of it
- Get and manage the material, non-material and digital resources needed to turn ideas into action
- Plan and implement different steps from idea generation to pilot launch

- Discuss and theoretically reflect on the project work process
Content
The course provides students with an overview and understanding of theoretical aspects from the fields of innovation and entrepreneurship. The course focuses on topics like different types of entrepreneurship (such as intrapreneurship and social entrepreneurship), central entrepreneurship concepts and practices. As part of the course, students execute an entrepreneurship project of their choice. Presentations on theories, methods and tools complement the progress in the project. The presented methods and tools are further applied in the student’s projects through facilitated workshops. This will provide a framework to reflect and combine the knowledge gained through the students’ projects, the applied methods and tools, and the theories from the course literature.
Forms of instruction and work
The following forms of instruction and work may be applied in the course: Lectures, class teaching, group work, presentations, talks, dialogue, discussions, exercises, case and problem-based learning, project counselling, independent studies, active participation in self-organised study groups and collaborative examination preparation, preparation of assignments, and other study-related products.
Teaching is organised in such a way as to support the humanities model for active learning and activating teaching, cf. section Didactic, pedagogical basis and contact to research environment in the curriculum. The teacher will inform students about how study activities are organised when the course begins.
The activities in the course are primarily aimed at achieving learning objectives and preparing students for the form of examination, portefolio with oral defence.
The teaching of the course activates the student in the following teaching spaces/learning spaces:
- Teaching space where the university teacher has the responsibility for planning and is present
- Study space where the university teacher has the responsibility for planning but is not present
- Teaching space where the university teacher is present but the students have the responsibility for planning specific sub-activities
- Study space where the students have the responsibility for planning, and the university teacher is not present
