Basic linear algebra.

Recommended prerequisites

Familiarity with Matlab and/or C++ programming.

Learning objectives - Knowledge

Having passed this course the successful students possess knowledge about
  • Practical motion planning methods for realistic applications
  • Fundamental dynamics and modern robot modelling tools
  • Practical robot controllers for controlling robot motion, and interaction behavior with external environment
  • Commercially available robots and their primary application areas
  • Research problems within methods and algorithms for robot technology
  • State-of the-art methods and algorithms for selected problems
  • Research activities of the institute and the international robotics community

Learning objectives - Skills

Having passed this course the successful students are able to
  • Implement and test one or more of state-of-the-art algorithms and methods on realistic problems and robots

  • Establish strong connection between robotics theory and applications

Enrolment is limited to 10 students. If more applicants than places, applicants who meet the mandatory requirements are prioritised according to the below selection criteria:
  1. Undergraduate and graduate students from partner universities (exchange); international undergraduate and graduate guest students (fee-paying); undergraduate and graduate students from other Danish universities. 
  2. Ph.D students from partner universities and other international Ph.D. students; other applicants.
