Basic linear algebra.

Recommended prerequisites

Familiarity with matlab or similar.

Learning objectives - Knowledge

Having passed this course the successful student possesses knowledge about
  • Path planning for robots etc.
  • Modelling of robot tasks (i.e. handling or surface treatment)
  • Robot vision systems
  • Commercially available robots and their primary application areas
  • Research problems with in methods and algorithms for robot technology
  • State-of the-art methods and algorithms for selected problems
  • Research activities of the institute within above mentioned areas

Having passed this course the successful student is able to
  • Test one or more of the methods on simplified problems

Learning objectives - Competences

Having passed this course the successful student is able to
  • Develop applications for path planning for mobile robots and feature extraction in 2D
  • Handling uncertainty in the real using for instance Kalman filters

Please note that due to the uncertainty surrounding the Covid-19 pandemic it has been decided that this course will only be offered if physical presence on campus is possible; otherwise it will be cancelled.

Enrolment is limited to 10 students. If more applicants than places, applicants who meet the mandatory requirements are prioritised according to the below selection criteria:
  1. Undergraduate and graduate students from partner universities (exchange); international undergraduate and graduate guest students (fee-paying); undergraduate and graduate students from other Danish universities. 
  2. Ph.D students from partner universities and other international Ph.D. students; other applicants. 

Students are prioritised on a first come, first served basis, i.e. according to the time we receive your complete application. 

In case a course is filled up, we try to offer you an alternative course from your list of priorities. All final decisions about admission will be sent out continually.
