Overall learning objectives
The main objective is to learn the practical design and build of mechanical and electrical systems supporting the operation of an electric formula student car and to apply simulation results in practice.

The ability to design and manufacture mechanical components.

Fundamental Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD)
Computer Aided Design (CAD)
Finite Element Methods (FEM)
Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) and Printed Circuit Board (PCB) design
Teamwork including workshop activities and real-life testing of designs.

Please note that this course will only be offered as an online course in 2020.
The course will consist of half-day lectures on CFD, CAD, FEM, and EMC.
The other half (and full) days are occupied by project work in groups under close supervision.

The examination is based on an overall assessment of:
- A brief written group report (max. 15 pages per group with individual contributions marked)
- An individual oral defense of this report, where specific questions to the lectures can occur.
