Content

Six Sigma has gained acceptance in industry as the de facto standard for structured and advanced problem solving. This course will enable you to participate in and run Six Sigma projects. You will learn the tools of Six Sigma which will be a mix of tools at green and black belt level. The teaching will be experimental in nature with a mix of hands-on exercises and more traditional calculations in statistical software like Excel or SAS JMP; no prior experience needed.

The course emphaizes that the students learn practical skills that enable them to apply their knowledge in a practical context.

You will learn from an experienced instructor with industrial experience from training and coaching Six Sigma in Denmark and abroad.

Teaching Method

The teaching will be a mix of hands-on exercises, lecturing and analysis in software like SAS JMP or Excel (SAS JMP available at SDU).

Enrollment is limited to 30 students. 

If more applicants than places, applicants who meet the mandatory requirements are prioritised according to the below selection criteria:

  1. Undergraduate and graduate students from partner universities (exchange); international undergraduate and graduate guest students (fee-paying); undergraduate and graduate students from other Danish universities. 
  2. Ph.D students from partner universities and other international Ph.D. students; other applicants.
