A supervisor contract and project statement must be handed in.
Submission is conducted electronically via spoc.sdu.dk/form/1137/submit. Submission must take place no later than 1 week after the semester has started, but is recommended, that it is handed in as soon as possible. The contract must be approved by supervisor, teaching committee and the head of studies.
Please note: If the project is carried out in a group, only one joint contract is to be handed in, stating the names of all group members.
Be aware that it is not possible to fill in the form after deadline of submission, since the application system will shut down. The system will reopen in connection with the next course registration, then you can fill out the form for the next semester.
Remember BMB Affiliation for Your Project
It is a requirement that all projects have a supervisor affiliated with the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (BMB). This applies regardless of where the project is carried out.
To have your Bachelor’s project approved, the following supervisor requirements must be met:
- Project at BMB: Requires one internal supervisor from the department.
- Project outside BMB: Requires a main supervisor from the department where the project is carried out + a co-supervisor from BMB.
Note: It is your responsibility to ensure that at least one of your supervisors is affiliated with BMB.

- An independent delineation, solution, and contextualization of the chosen topic. The project is concluded with a written report.
Expected learning outcome
Content
A bachelor's project must be conducted within the biomedical field. The topic of the project is determined in collaboration with a supervisor, and the project description is approved as part of the project contract by the supervisor, the department, and the head of studies.

Additional information
The bachelor's project may be carried out in groups of no more than 4 students. If the project is carried out in a group, the report will be part of the assessment at an individual oral examination at a later date. The report may be written in Danish or English.
